Ultim8 is an informal Friday evening group for 11–16 year olds, meeting from 8:00 to 9:30pm.

7-Up

7up is a fun and friendly group for children in school years 4, 5, and 6, meeting on Friday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15pm.

The Good Neighbours Lunch Club

The Good Neighbours Lunch Club meets nearly every Tuesday in the village. The meals, which comprise a main course (typically meat and two vegetables) and a dessert, followed by tea or coffee, are provided from a centre in Hemel Hempstead.

As a member of the Club you are expected to attend regularly. Currently the Club has about 25 members. Transport can be arranged for those who need it.

Members pay a charge each week to cover the cost of the meal, the cost of hiring the venue and other incidental costs.

The Club is run by a group of volunteers who carry out all the necessary tasks to ensure that the diners are able to enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

Over 50!

Not a Lunch Club rule but in 2022 we celebrated our 50th anniversary! President Stephen Clarke looks on as Jan Farrant and Karen Morrish help Win Curran cut the 50th Anniversary cake. All club members also received a memorial mug.

Kings Langley Good Neighbours

We provide voluntary services, such as transport to surgeries and hospitals, simple DIY, visiting and a weekly Lunch Club, for people in the village who have needs caused by age, ill-health, disability or inadequate resources.

Waterside Centre

The Waterside Centre was formed in 1990 by Margaret Gower. It was a very different place back then, it was strictly run, those who attended were generally more able than those who attend today, so sewing meant proper dressmaking, and in the workshop, the men made things using a full range of tools. Today it is still a busy place with lots of activities going on, it is fun place to spend the day, for staff and volunteers as well as service users. Freshly prepared meals are available at minimal cost for those who wish to eat a good lunch at the centre.

Waterways Experiences

Waterways Experiences is an award-winning, volunteer-run charity, operating three canal boats from a beautifully landscaped boat base on the Grand Union Canal, near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. We enable everyone, including the disabled, the disadvantaged, the young and the old to experience the fun and the beauty of our waterways.

Community Library

The Library is always looking for volunteers to help with the day to day running of the community library and also would be interested in volunteer led library focused activities.

Women’s Institute, Kings Langley

Kings Langley Women’s Institute meet every second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Community Centre and invite anyone to come along
