The Good Neighbours Lunch Club Icon

The Good Neighbours Lunch Club

The Good Neighbours Lunch Club meets nearly every Tuesday in the village. The meals, which comprise a main course (typically meat and two vegetables) and a dessert, followed by tea or coffee, are provided from a centre in Hemel Hempstead. As a member of the Club you are expected to attend regularly. Currently the Club has about 25 members. Transport can be arranged for those who need it. Members pay a charge each week to cover the cost of the meal, the cost of hiring the venue and other incidental costs. The Club is run by a group of volunteers who carry out all the necessary tasks to ensure that the diners are able to enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are a resident of Kings Langley and are interested in joining our Lunch Club, please call 07527 907128. One of our Lunch Club Co-ordinators will call you back and discuss the Club with you. Waterside Centre Icon

Waterside Centre

The Waterside Centre was formed in 1990 by Margaret Gower. It was a very different place back then, it was strictly run, those who attended were generally more able than those who attend today, so sewing meant proper dressmaking, and in the workshop, the men made things using a full range of tools. Today it is still a busy place with lots of activities going on, it is fun place to spend the day, for staff and volunteers as well as service users. Freshly prepared meals are available at minimal cost for those who wish to eat a good lunch at the centre.
